Question A little help please...

Has any one had problems with their transmission shift linkage and header collectors? My trans will just go in to drive and no further. The linkage hits the header collector where it bolts together with the exhaust piping. Any ideas besides doing away with the flanges and having them welded together?????

Thanks!!!
