Suburban Swap Meet Action

I was at the truck show at Carlisle last weekend and when I got all packed up I went by my buddy's spot to say goodbye. As I rolled up I saw he was all packed up and ready to go. I pulled up next to him and thought it was a pretty cool sight.

Re: Suburban Swap Meet Action

Just giving the 'Burbs some love. These things are great all around trucks. Kevin has a junkyard and he has been running these Burbs with 454 for years. He also has a newer on with an 8.2. My little old 350 does the job for me. These are great tow vehicles. I load it up, hook the loaded trailer up, run to the show, empty out the 'Burb, and blow up the twin air mattress for a nice little camper conversion. It's cool to have the side door to crawl into with some floor space at the foot of the bed, compared to a pickup where you crawl in over the tailgate right onto the mattress. Great for when it's raining, especially.

This was Kevin's first one:

Re: Suburban Swap Meet Action

I missed truck Carlisle this year. Are there many parts for the 88-98 trucks?

Re: Suburban Swap Meet Action

Yeah, pretty many. I'm seeing more and more. There were a few rust free cabs.

Re: Suburban Swap Meet Action

Thanks! I’m still looking for a really nice door for my 97. Do you go to fall Carlisle?

Re: Suburban Swap Meet Action

Yes. I only have one space, so only bring what fits behind the truck, about 10x10. I'd be a happy camper to find a nice white manual driver door to bolt on
