Narrowing 60's front suspension

Does anyone know of a parts swap to narrow the front track width of a 63-72? Also change to 5x4.75 bolt pattern? I got a 53 Chevy project truck sitting on a 63 up frame. The front suspension is too wide. Thanks.

Re: Narrowing 60's front suspension

Not as much as you need. CPP sells dropped spindles that will tuck 5/8" per side, and there are rotors that could be swapped to get the bolt pattern, but that's about the limit. You might get a little more with high offset wheels, but that is expensive and looks like crap.
I have several suggestions, if you have your stock frame. Otherwise ,you are kinda out of luck.

Re: Narrowing 60's front suspension

Porterbuilts Dropmember narrows track width about 1.5" from stock. The CPP drop spindles can add to that as well as they offer shorter a-arms to narrow the track width even more. Pricy, but great quality.

Some other options would be No Limits, Fat Man Fabrications, Roadster Shop, or Scotts for bolt-in aftermarket crossmembers w/varying track widths (depending on the mfr).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I will probably change the frame or subframe it. I just didn't know if there was a old trick people have used before. I have heard of people using 78-87 Malibu front spindles and disc brakes on a 57 Chevy car, almost bolt on. Might just get Camaro subframe. The rear trailing arm suspension might work good.
