Took my first drive in it and it runs good. Still needs some finishing touches. Entered a burnout contest with it. It did ok...already not liking those 2.73 gears. Need to upgrade to at least 3.42s.

The color combo is starting to grow on me...didnt really care for it at first. I cant wait to wash n polish it. Its been sitting for 6 years so theres a bit of dirt on it. Cant wait to see what it looks like. This is the only truck I've ever seen in person with this color combo

Thanks bro...I wasn't involved in the swap this time like I was on my old truck. Last time I actually did a lot of work on it myself with some guidance and I did make a build thread. This time my buddy did all the work at his shop n the pics in this thread are from when i would go check on his progress. Hes still doing some work on it right now. Waiting patiently for him to finish it.

Update...well the truck runs and drives but its still not quite finished. The wiring is still not done and my buddy discovered that my floor pans are no good so I ordered some new ones that show be here next week. Hopefully after theyre replaced it will finally be finished. Here is a link to a walk around video I shot yesterday

Update. Still at the shop. Checked on it today. PCM is in the cab but not mounted. Got a new floor pan installed. Also got my phantom grille, air dam n window visors put on. Needs a brake job now and gotta put on my seat cover.

Ordered some parts for my truck. Got the led sequential taillight from classic industries, grant steering wheel kit with the blue Chevy horn button and a console to put on my seat. Next on my list are the intellitronix gauges n speed engineering headers..which I hope to get by Christmas. Also want to get led headlights turn signal and front markers... I bought the clear lenses from lmc truck so need bulbs

Well after an entire year I finally got my baby home! Runs and drives great! Has a couple of issues like an exhaust leak, power windows n locks don’t work, no lights in the cluster n no license plate light. Gotta figure out a way to mount the pcm n fuse panel. Also needs a good clean up. I’m delighted to have her home😊😊

Worked on it all day today with help from my neighbor. Installed a seat cover and console, led taillights, door striker bushings and new grant steering wheel. Went to start it after we were done n it won’t even crank. I know my battery is weak so I hope it’s just that. Lights and radio work, fuel pump turns on but won’t crank. Also my horn doesn’t work after the steering wheel install. The fuse is good so it must be the wire. Man it’s always something with these old trucks smh. Hopefully I get it running tomorrow

Posted a cold start n walkaround video of my truck today. These trucks are awesome and Im absolutely in love with mine. Its not perfect but its a classic truck so it will need stuff here n there. I think ill have this truck for a long time...unless i find me a 68 longbed with a 3 on the tree lol...love those trucks too
