Post Wire Connections

I have a 72 C10 that has 90% of the wiring removed since it was a parts truck. Using the wiring diagram I saw, I was able to purchase most of the wiring new. My question is there are 3 wires coming out from the junction block. Does any one know about the black wire that runs on the back side to the same connection as the red one that runs in the front by radiator? I am having trouble locating it and could use the help. Thank you all.

Re: Wire Connections

are you refering to the black and black/white wires? If so they are for the ammeter they should have 2 little footbal shaped fuse holders with 3 or 4 amp fuses (circled in diagram).

Smile Re: Wire Connections

Thank for the help out. I do see the circled fuses. Question is where do I get this connection? Will it come with any harness I purchased or need to find it off a junked truck? I prefer to buy it new if all possible

Thanks again

Re: Wire Connections

I was hoping I could find it new somewhere. Maybe they dont. I do not like the idea of doing that unless it does not exist in the world anymore

If you decide to make it, try these folks for the terminals. Of course you can always go with the newer GM style of weather proof connectors.

Thanks for your service.
