2 tone paint line
What's the best way to determine placement of the upper paint line on a 2 tone ? From front to rear on the sides. Thanks

Re: 2 tone paint line
I would seriously think about the two tone then. Are you talking the roof only or the whole upper body? The roof you can do pretty easy because it has a hard line you can break it at.
But the sides REALLY need that moulding to break it up. And if you are getting creative, really think about that hard. It can look good "on paper" and in your head and maybe even to you once it's painted because "we see what we want to see" but to others it can cut it up weird. This truck is a beautiful truck done really well but when someone else sees it, it's "cut up" and doesn't even look like a Chevy pickup, color can REALLY change stuff. I hope this isn't someones here as I don't what to knock it. If the owner likes it is all that counts. I just want to throw info out there so people can make up their own minds. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE customized cars and trucks. But damn the General did a hell of a nice job with the two tones they put out at the factory. And you really do need the mouldings to pull this off properly. What ever you choose, photo shop it, or even print out a photo of your truck and color it with felt pens how you would like it, what ever, "seeing" your truck painted the way you want before you do it can help you a lot.
