TBI tricks ?

I have an 87 LWB has a 350 5.7, are there any tips or tricks for the TBI unit to make it perform better or more efficiently. I am looking more for performance that fuel milage. I don't drive it daily so fuel milage is of no great concern.

Re: TBI tricks ?

Not really, the heads wont support more flow with the spiral flow runners, the tbi wont flow much more in the stock config unless you replace the injectors and reflash/ replace the ecm. The aftermarket holley unit gave me no gains, the edelbrock tbi manifold got no noticeable gains and it was all on a new gm crate motor with tubular stainless headers. The stock motor isnt designed for hp, only modest torque and descent mileage and longevity. Sorry... (in my opinion) Cheers- Nate

Re: TBI tricks ?

I was actually referring tips like :

I've been told you can put a quarter under the fuel pressure spring and gives more fuel pressure ?

But thanks for that CHIPS page, I'm gonna check that page out further

Re: TBI tricks ?

Im pretty sure the throttle bodies fuel pressure is adjustable but you have to drill it because GM covered it up although they do sell aftermarket pieces but i've seen a thread from another site where a guy figured it out
