upper shock mount

found out when i got home my upper shock mount was broke out on the top side so now the piece that broke is gone any ideas on a fix ? this mount is riveted to top of frame rail . thanks for any help .

I am not sure I am fimilar with that mount, can you post a picture of what happened?

I've got the same issue on my Blazer as well... The only thing I can see to do is to have someone fabricate a new mount similar to the previous one and weld it in place. I'm sure more than just us two have had this problem, I'm also interested in what others have done.

It's on the Left Rear, usually breaks off from rust and wear over time. I don't have a pic of mine though.

i got mine fixed i cut out the bad area weled in flat steel . its about twice as thick now . my shock was bottoming out is why mine broke over time . my suburban is from texas so it rust free so much nicer to work on compared to a iowa rusty one .
