Anyone running this size tire on a 2 wheel drive pick up. Did you have to tub? what size back space? Pics would be great. Lets see what you got.

Re: 30 x 12 x 15 Tires

Closest metric size tire to this would be a 305 55 15 and not sure if that animal even exists, but that should let you search and compare.

I have 275 55 17 on the rear of my truck they are 29" tall and 10.9" section width. My truck is a stepside and wheels are 17x9 with 5" backspace. With some tape measure work I would think your 12" tire would fit on a fleetside pretty easily.

IME, the lower profile tire you use, the easier it is to fit a wider tire because it has less sidewall bulge and rolls less when turning. Unless you have the wheels already, I'd seriously consider going to 17's or 18's for a much wider tire selection as well as wheel choice.

Re: 30 x 12 x 15 Tires

Thanks Mike for the info. I have the wheels, I have the front tires and wheels, just want a taller rear tire.

Re: 30 x 12 x 15 Tires

If you have the wheels, the real concern would be if they tuck enough (or too much!) and how low the truck is. I spent a LONG time searching and reading threads and then hitting the truck with the tape before pulling the trigger on wheels and tires.

My step is leaf spring and flipped in the rear for a 7" drop. I went to 5 lug by using the wider 71-72 rear axle housing. Wheels again are 17x9 with 5" backspacing and tires are 275 55 17 for a 29" height. Front is 235 55 17 for 27" height on 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing. 5 lug disc conversion with 2 1/2" drop spindles and 2" drip springs.
