1978 SWB Silverado Big 10 value?

I've been after this truck for several years. A guy down the road bought it new, but it's sat for several years. I tried to bring her back to life today, but the engine is stuck (see pics of plugs). I'm more of a 67-72 guy, but I think this is a realy neat truck. Is it worth restoring? Factory solid black Silverado with red interior and Big 10 package. So many options on SPID that it required 2 of them. Thanks for any input.

Re: 1978 SWB Silverado Big 10 value?

fill them cylinders up with pb blaster / liquid wrench / what ever . jam the plugs back in the holes and let her sit .

did this on a 3 wheeler 1 time was dunked in river . then never told the dad untill week later . by then it was set up . sat 2 more years . then we owned it and i did this for 1 time . sat a week . then i heated up the top end of the engine with a salamander torpedo heater and she broke loose .

ran like a top and never smoked .

If the body is solid, I'd go the restoration route. Looks to be a very good candidate.

I’d definitely tear it down it looks like theres moisture in those two cylinders. At least pull the heads off to see what’s going on. Pull the dipstick and see if there’s any water in the oil. The truck looks very solid, nice score!

Here's pic of 2 SPIDS. Second one just has red vinyl trim. Is it rare to see 2 labels?

Hard to get a real good idea on condition from pictures, but I would restore it. Would love to have a truck like that!
