Re: 47 - 54 bumper pic's

I'd like better pics too.

My 53 suburban has a front bumper, but had no valance. So I bought a valance that was marked 47-53 chevy at a swapmeet.

My bumper bolt holes are noWhere near where they should be to match the valance....

There has to be close to 2" off.

Anyone with detailed wisdom about these bumpers and valances??

Thanks
Tim

Re: 47 - 54 bumper pic's

I know that when I bought my '54 it didn't have a "valance" on it as well. I was told by an old timer that they all came with them, but as damage was done to the front/rear of the trucks, they weren't replaced, or "after market" bumpers were used. What exactly do you need to see? I'm not sure how soon you need it, but when my valance is painted I can take a shot of it. The more specific your request is, the better response/picture you can get.
