Emblem make-overs

I would like to change my grill and fender Chevy bowtie emblems on my '67 to something other than Chevy red-orange. There don't seem to be any aftermarket ones out there in other colors. Has anyone ever stripped and painted theirs? If so, will you share your successful procedure?

Thanks CDowns! I will give that a try. My wife actually has a Cricut machine that she makes things with vinyl so that should be easy for me to do.

Give this a try http://www.webxtremes.com/chevydecals.htm
I have the Decepticon overlay on my Crown vic and it has lasted for over a year now with no fading issues so far.

Re: Emblem make-overs

I got a pretty clean bowtie off of a 68 in a junkyard but the red paint was all faded. I sanded it down a little, taped it up, and put some rattle can primer and flat black on it. I was pleased with the outcome.
