Question GMC thernometer? what would have this been installed on?

I think the seller is just trying to capitalize on the popularity of the 67-72 era stuff. I don't remember seeing these type thermometers until at least 1973, when they were factory on the side mirrors of the big Buicks, Olds and Pontiacs. Maybe one of your experts can chime in on the real availability of these as an accessory.

It's not in the GM accessory catalogs for 67-72. It''s neat. It's valuable in the box,unused. A $4.99 thermometer can do the same thing.
