49 safety hood latch

missing spring . any suggestions searched around . they want 60 to 75 bucks for the latch with spring. retro spring? thanks guys

Just bought a spring kit from the the Truck Shop in Orange CA.
I havent installed it yet.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Found it! 47-06703 13.00 for the kit but that beats 65.

Site is a bit tricky and it took me a bit of time to figure it out.

Open the link https://issuu.com/truckandcarshop/docs/ts_47-59_13_web
then when the cover page of the catalog opens up swing your curser across the catalog an a slide bar should show up at the bottom with 1/158 on it on the left side. Slide the red dot to the right until page 75 or close enough to flip pages shows up. You can expand the page and then enlarge it again.

See if that works.

ok the little spring and pin came in but I guess I'm not smart enough to figure out how the spring fits in the safety latch . help please
