Question Long bed to short bed....easiet way!??!!

Howdie all new member here!
gotta question for ya or just to see what people think. i have a 72 LB truck wanna make it to a short bed. i found a 2wd short bed truck, now it seems easier to just chop my frame on the long bed an slap the short bed on, which i think will be easier cuz the 2wd has been wrecked and i would have to change my cab over and all and pretty much do everything to it, So now i know it has been done, how much and where do do i chop the frame at and whats the best way to strengthen it, i'm a fabulous welder so thats no prob just dont know the measurments and wanna know what people have to say!!

thanks all

Next, you might wanna read this post and look at the pics posted by "ebfabman". http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ame+shortening

Good luck on your project and post some pics if you have them.
