Exclamation Firewall Dimples For Clutch Master

I been spending a little time researching for a auto to standard swap and I didn't really find much on locating dimples on a square gm truck 73-87 and up to 91 on suburban, blazers and one tons so... I just wanted to put a pick of the dimples from my 88 suburban out there to potentially help another who might be searching. I know they are hard to see when the rig is fully dressed.

I'm about to tackle this project myself. I see three? Are you going hydraulic?

Re: Firewall Dimples For Clutch Master

yes. i am swapping in a nv4500 and a hydro boost.
i bought the hydro boost/hydraulic clutch and brake pedal set from KrazyRay here and it was good! i was also able to get the hydro boost brake master cylinder from him too. all from the same truck. and the same year as my 88 gmc. what could be better?
also, since I'm running a dodge nv4500, i needed a hybrid master / slave for the clutch which i got from the syndicate chop shop.

if you plan on putting a hydro boost in there, try to get everything from the same truck. i wanted everything to be between 85-91 one ton stuff. mixing and matching seems to make lots of problems. i don't know from experience but i read a lot and there have been a few who really had a tough time...

EDIT*** there is a fourth dimple in the black too on the left. I'm not sure yet which ones I'm using but ill find out soon and put it in my build thread here***

Re: Firewall Dimples For Clutch Master

I'm going manual clutch into a hydro boost truck. I've got a hodge-podge of a parts pile but think I have everything. Please do post up pics though when you start. I'll be updating my build thread when I've made some progress.

Looks like these are the lucky winners!

From the inside. Middle one is harder to see.
