excellent points Kizer. The ultimate tailgater. I see a custom BBQ island on the main bed along with a bar and dining table. Then on upper deck a portable jacuzzi, like a soft tub.

Re: pics of the 65' c60 I just bought

Well this weekend got the old girl home. This is one big truck! Loading involved a tractor and 1 ton dodge to get it on the trailer. While unloading the fuel tank got hung up and tore off It then rolled under the front of the truck and got stuck under the front axle. After all that managed to get it into the drive.

That thing is bad! I have to admit that the c-60 will probably be sacrificed for the 64' c-10. Plan to run the front clip on my 1/2 ton. Will have some pics of the tear down..

Interesting truck. Sure would like to see you keep it together. It would make a great Heavy Duty Rollback.

Re: pics of the 65' c60 I just bought

Got the over the cab rack off this last weekend. Cut the front bolts and torched the rear cab tubing. Pulled it backwards onto the bed. Looks a lot better with that thing off there!

I had started driving it home, but no brakes at all... It was a pain to get the motor started and I didn't really want to mess with it to get it on and off the trailer. The tractor and truck was more fun anyway

Re: pics of the 65' c60 I just bought

I'd love to see pictures of that rig as a rollback. I have a 66 C 60 with a 4 speed and two speed rear, was a 292 but got swapped over to a 350 when the292 started knocking. It has a 14' stakebody dump on it now,we used it to truck cordwood along time ago,3 cords if you stacked it,and to haul junk cars for scrap,3 at a time depending on the cars.I have not had it on the road for about 15 years or so but hope to get it going and restore the old girl someday, and have considerd wanting to convert it to a car carrier for a long time,or maybe some kind of a roll off set up like they pick dumpsters with and have multiple bodys for it.

Re: pics of the 65' c60 I just bought

Unfortunatly I have already torn the front clip off of the c60. The truck looks really cool, but have it's own set of issues. I also have way too many projects (like most of us on here). I do want a running c60, but will probably get one that is in better/running condition. This old girl would need a complete frame off restoration. Check out my build thread in my signature on "Carla Marie". I have pics of the c60 front clip on my c10.

Take the outside duall of & put it on the front. The rear lug bolts on the outside wheel are burrs, the inside should be the squaire ones.
there is no load on it will work.
