What do y'all listen to when working on your Truck?

Everyone enjoys a little music while working, what do ya'll play on the radio in the Garage?

I myself prefer True Country. Cash, Hank Jr, Waylon, Willie, Merle, The Possum, and David Allan Coe just to name a few

I'm flexible. Nothing specific. I listen to whatever I'm in the mood for.

I don't have a radio in my garage.....I have never been one to prefer such distractions anyway but if I am working on my ski condo I enjoy listening to Fox News on the TV as I work.

Re: What do y'all listen to when working on your Truck?

if I'm working inside the garage, ME, This, Antenna, H&I, etc. OTA networks or recorded favorites in the DVR on a 40" LCD through a TiVo extender from the base unit..

when I'm out on the drive, music through a remote speaker setup on my toolbox, last weekend was ratpack classics, heavy on the Frank

old pic of the speakers on my rollcab, tv is now just above, along with a ton of other stuff packed all over the place

Great stuff, all of it. I could have quoted others. I like music of many styles... blues and anything based off of it such as rock & roll, rock, and country. Mostly American music. I like real country, not contrived commercialized crap. Don Williams, Gram Parsons, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Emmy Lou Harris, Lucinda Williams, etc. Blues from the Delta to influenced rock. Bluegrass. Garage bands. Folk and Country rock are some of my favorites. Classic rock they don't play on stations. Singer/songwriters are my favorite and created by record companies I don't care for. I like that which was created from the soul that ended up good and was recorded. Don't care how popular it is, it's about the content and how it reaches my soul. I dislike that which is created for market...shallow and meaningless lightweight BS. The more raw and unproduced the better. I never listen to talk radio. I have my own mind and capable of forming my own judgement and opinions without listening to a bunch of over intellectualization, bags of hot air bigoted egotists, or slanted news. I don't drink the Kool Aid. Music is a beautiful thing, hardly a distraction. More like an enriching embellishment of life that raises your spirit.

Doing a tune-up I listen to my engine. I static tune then refine by ear.

I'm right there myself, I keep my music blasting through my phone. I can't stand listening to radio show hosts or all the other BS.

Re: What do y'all listen to when working on your Truck?

whatever seems to be floating around in my head at the time. Lost my hearing around 2010 or so. Been singing to myself ever since. It's nice cause I don't even hear the wife screaming for me to shut up.

Most women like the strong, silent type… Fortunately for me, my wife prefers the out-of-shape, mouthy type.

Occasionally I shift from country and go that route. Something about that style of music is just amazing.

Re: What do y'all listen to when working on your Truck?

i listen to the sound of the wind, the neighbors chickens and cattle, and the occasional hawk or eagle screech mixed with the sound of my dog barking his fool head off when the ups truck comes down the road.
i should get some sounds out in the driveway we do have a good local classic rock station.

Re: What do y'all listen to when working on your Truck?

Deep Purple, but only the Ian Gillian Deep Purple. None of the Rod Evans/Nick Semper Purple, and none of that David Coverdale/Glenn Hughes stuff.
And Motorhead.
Judas Priest.
Ronnie James Dio era Rainbow.
Ozzy.
More Purple.
Argent, Zombies and Santana.
Then back to Purple.
