Firewall brake mounting options?

I recently ordered the firewall brake pedal mounting bracket from CPP, their 4753FBB. After a few emails to get the correct part numbers and order process, I placed the order and the payment went through.

Excellent, parts on the way, or so I thought. My money was refunded to paypal a few days later with a memo of an address issue. I checked the address and there was no error and when I tried several times to contact CPP to find out why the order was cancelled, they will not respond to me.

I thought this was a reputable company as there is even a featured article about the 4753FBB bracket that they sell on the HotRod magazine site. I'm not sure what is going on but I am not impressed.

The same part through Summit Racing shows an August delivery date. Is it just a stock issue, if so, then they could have just said that.

Anyway, and I do feel much better after my rant but I need another option and would like to use new parts if possible.

Wilwood pedal, booster mounting brackets, etc?

I can definitely fabricate a triangulation part to the dash if need be.

Very limited scrapyards around here for something used and modified so any advice would be great (with pictures if possible).

Thanks in advanced.

Brendan

That's a good looking bracket...I just went to their website and it let me go all the way thru the checkout process..I know you said it was after you ordered it was when you got cancelled...I wonder if it's your Ontario address that caused it?
I know what you mean about no return responces...I've been trying to contact a couple manufacturers lately and cant get even a whisper out of em...

Re: Firewall brake mounting options?

It may be the way your address is written as opposed to how it shows up on Google or other maps.

I write my address as ----- US Hwy 97 but it won't work on Google map with the HWY in it and I have to Put just US 97 it doesn't work with some vendors's address setups.

An good explanation, no matter what the reason, would have been nice. Not just silence.

Re: Firewall brake mounting options?

I like the looks of that. How does the pedal mount to the arm? The online image is not too clear.

Also, I take it they are good to deal with.

Re: Firewall brake mounting options?

I think POL copies CCP parts - they look almost identical. Pretty well engineered to triangulate the firewall, dash and steering column - mine doesn't flex at all with a hard brake application. I lengthened my arm and added a rectangular pedal (kit comes with round) so I've forgotten how their pedal mounts.
