power steering original wheel

Has anyone ever installed power steering in their 55-59 and kept the original steering wheel and column ?

Can it be done?
Thanks

Welcome to the board cadman!
The link below shows a conversion and even has a kit available.
To retain the original column would just a matter of getting the correct u-joint.

Thanks! That looks like just what I was looking for.
My wife likes to drive the truck once in a while.

Welcome, from one GMC owner to another.
The only difference between our two trucks is that it looks like your GMC is all in one piece. I am still trying to figure out how to do that!
