Re: My daughter's '46 International P/U

Really like this build, heartwarming. Bet your a proud Dad, very inspiring to see Diana work on the truck and be part of the project. Looking forward to seeing more, love the Thames.

Re: My daughter's '46 International P/U

I really like what you have done with your kb! I bought two of these trucks my senior year in high school for 150 bucks many years ago. One ran and the other didn't. The one that ran was a k1 (no stainless grill) and the other was a kb2 with the Knox box. I loved that old truck. I drove that little short box 350 plus miles from Pendleton Oregon to my duty station at Whidbey Island WA when I went into the Navy after graduation. The Green Diamond engine burnt more oil than gas and topped out at about 50 mph. At least you won't have that problem! I even had to learn how to double clutch. I sold it to a buddy before I got out and found a kb2 panel when I was in college. I still have that one. I am glad you are bringing this truck back to life. You are making great memories.
Here are a couple picks of that panel.

We really like the truck and I'm glad you saved that panel. My boss just bought two panels and wants to put a Hemi in one. As for Diana's truck, we just put it in the trailer for the winter. It didn't stick, but we have had the first snow here already.

Wow a KB2 panel 4x4 that is very rare! You should post it up on the Vintage other makes 4x4 thread in the 4x4 section. It would be great to see more of it.

Old thread back from the dead. What has happened? My first 4 wheel transportation was a 47 KB-5, and I have had a soft spot for them ever since.
