Rack & Pinion conversion for R30

I've been searching for a R&P setup for my 1987 R30. All I see are kits for the C series trucks and all of the mfgs that I have talked to all say that the C series setups won't fit the R series due to frame differences. I thought the R's were the same as the C's? And are the 30 series frames different than the 10/20 series frames? I'm looking at a complete rebuild of everything on my steering right now, including a new box, so this would be a perfect time for a R&P swap.

Thanks!

The 1 ton frame is a little thicker then a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton frame.
