Gorgeous color, but too purple for me. And I'm trying to stay away from Kandy.. my truck is going to be seeing a LOT of sun. That's the problem though, all the hot pinks I like are Kandy pinks...

I'm impressed that your are more into this stuff beyond, "yeah that truck is pretty."(quote from the wife).

I love what you did with your dash I was looking at shaving mine up like that but leaving it bare metal(cleared) if i can get it that smooth.

I have to ask though, are you the only builder or are you having it built? i'm not doubting that you could do it because ive known girls who are better than I at fabrication. I just want to know if its all you or not?

Re: Project "1sikchicksc10".. Bodydropped on 24's

LOL.. trucks aren't pretty, they are sexy. FYI. And my life revolves around my vehicles. It's a big part of me, don't know what I'd do without 'em. I live and breath it!

Yeah the dash was a b****h just a heads up and unfortunately have to re-do it. Was buffing it and the buffer grabbed it and threw it off the bench and cracked most the body work.. FML.

LOL.. I never have anything built. I grew up with my dad and two older brothers who were heavily into cars. Started on drag cars, motors, etc. Then started taking a liking to trucks and adjustable suspension/ fabrication. I'll be the first to admit, there is PLENTY that I don't know how to do, but I'm always learning. This was the first truck I bagged, learned and did it with my brother. Then it wasn't low enough, so the bf and I started to complete re-do it with the body drop. Like I said, I can't do everything, but I will be able to someday, I pick up stuff pretty quick and am always learning

That's awsome to hear. Mad props on all you've done so far.

And yeah I figured the dash would be a *****, thin metal always is. I've only done stuff that wouldn't be seen much like my gas filler neck, but I got a free dash to play with so if I mess it up it won't be the end of the world.

Haha thank ya.

And yeah, well bodywork in general is what the b****h is. LOL, makes thin metal look like a breeze. It wouldn't have been so bad had the buffer not ripped it off the bench and now having to re-do it. lol

I would love to say there is more updates, but unfortunately there isn't
It has not been touched in an EXTREMELY long time after a bad break up and **** going here or there, all the tools being taken, it's sat. I took on the Cadillac as priority now that I have tools again, because it was a lot closer to being completed. The truck will be coming up next, once the caddy is finished. It's just taking A LOT of money, so little by little and one project at a time. Once I have one show vehicle complete, it'll get worked on. Not too much left to do on the C10. The caddy will be completed by next Saturday.. I'll be posting pics on that build thread, so keep an eye out.

The dash in the C10 was fairly simple. You just strip all the foam off of it and it's bare metal underneath. Body work/sand it and then paint and clear. Obviously a little modification was needed for the (2) TV's I put in there.. depending on where you mount them you just have to rough them in.

Thank you! Unfortunately the pics I have posted were the only pics I took. That dash is sitting in a closet upstairs in my house lol.. It needs to be repaired. My ex decided it was a good idea to take it out and buff it after he installed it.. buffer was too big, grabbed an edge and threw the dash off the bench.. cracked all the body work.. so yeah. LOL
