What's your raceweight and setup?

What's your raceweight and basic setup?

Considering building my c10 panel for street/strip now that I sold my daily driver trailblazer ss. Hoping it'll be lighter.

Tbss was 4400# going down the track, 4230# without me. Just the drivers seat, no spare, stock front 20" rims, rear 16" rims and 275" m&h dr's. Aluminum 416", 4l60e.

Re: What's your raceweight and setup?

My 66 SWB was pretty empty and with:
436" SBC AFR 220 heads
a average Crower roller smallblock cam (265/270 .68 lift)

Chassis was a 4link and a big pfhat tire.
Weighed 3630 pounds with my 200 pound a$$ in the seat and 8 gallons of fuel.

In 2400' air it would go 10.45 @ 118

Re: What's your raceweight and setup?

My 50 currently weighs 3750 with me in. 2100/1650. Heavy 3/16" boxed frame. I'm adding dynomat and a full interior yet too. Hoping to hit bottom 9's. Billet 80mm turbo under the bed, 370" Lq4, tbrake 400, 4 link ect. After winter I should really see what it will do.

Re: What's your raceweight and setup?

Mine tips the scales at 3,120 with me in it, but no hood, cut inner fenders, two light seats and a CM cage and back half.

Best is 10.38 NA and 9.20 on n20 (Single 57n + two 52n jets).

Re: What's your raceweight and setup?

After my sorta-backhalf, I should be right around 3400+driver.
6.0/4l80e, full interior, custom bed, coilovers, no front liners etc.

Re: What's your raceweight and setup?

3170 lbs with me in it, 2 bottles and 5 gallons of fuel. Has two Kirkey racing seats, chromoly cage, stock frame front to rear. Stock suspension rear with coil overs. Stock type replacement front suspension, rack and pinion.
Has lexan windows. All steel except for the hood. Still am not completely sure how it ended up so light. Front suspension was the biggest weight loss.

Re: What's your raceweight and setup?

I have no idea how my truck weighs so much more than some of you guys, sure its a long box vs short, but reading your specs and looking at what my setup is I'm #500 more and running similar parts.

My truck is all steel except hood, aluminum head BBC, 4 - link, fab 9", IFS front with mustang 2 parts, race brakes, min interior with race seats, no exhaust, light rims and full slicks, skinnies in the front, roll bar, 10 gal of fuel and a full #10 nitrous bottle, I'm at #3700.

Seen your front suspension thread, did that crossmember ever become available to the public?

I have put on a few pounds lately. I weigh 180, and that was what i weighed when I weighed the truck last. When i raced a lot, I only weighed 145-150! Getting older, and I feel like no one warned me, all you jokers just sat back and watched! Mine has not been down a track in almost 3 years now.

I must admit, my chassis guy had lost interest for a long while. He wants me to pull mine out to see how it all fit in the jigs again. Then, he says he will be interested in building a couple and see how they sell. He is back to welding/fab work full time again.

Ditto, depending on price. I'd love to pull some weight out of it.

Re: What's your raceweight and setup?

4150 with me in it, I weigh 250lbs.

11.15@121.7 on 15psi, turbo 5.3/4L80E/3.25 gear/275DR.

I've added a ton of weight over stock! Don't really care though, I use the truck for mostly truck things and go to the track occasionally.
