What length shock?

My buddy has a 99 chevy 1500. 4x4. extended cab. short bed. 5.3L. he just bought a set of torsion keys to lift the front end.

i know they make shock extenders but he just wants to get a new set of shock. does anyone know what length shocks he would need to get after he lifts the front end?

Did he get just a 2" lift key and not turn it up from there? If so he would just need a shock for a 2" lift. The stock shocks can be used for up to a 2" lift any thing past that and he will definitely need the longer shock.
