6 cylinder block side motor mounts

Looking for the brackets that bolt onto the block, putting a 250 into a 68. Have the frame side mounts just cant find the other ones anywhere.

250 motor mounts didn't used to be that hard to find. They're the same unit on both sides. Unlike the bigger L6, the 292, which has a different mount on the Passenger Side than the Driver Side.
If you paid $25 for a premium membership, you could place a WTB [want to buy] ad in the classifieds on this site.
Part of the scarcity problem, is the way a lot of guys up-gunning to a V8, think ''no one will ever want this L6 stuff'' and just chuck it. But that's life.

I looked for them for over 5 years after i bought a really clean 1969 nova 250 motor But after 5 years of not finding any i sold the inline 6

So true. Irony is the inline six are having a resurgence in popularity. See more of them at shows than I have in years. Guess people got tired of being and seeing just another crate small block.

I believe someone is making an aftermarket 292 set of motor mounts. [For unheard-of money] The only downside [after the price] is that they require mounting to the Fuel Pump receiver on the Passenger Side, and converting to an electric fuel pump. While making for a symmetrical set of motor mounts like the 230/250 L6s -- the reason GM engineered the offset mounting on the 292 was to counteract its massive torque.

I don't know if the same company is also making a 250 mount set. [Since the Driver Side is the same as the Passenger Side, reversed. It wouldn't be hard.] For the price of the 292 set, modifying it for a 250 would be impractical.

Tom Lowe at www.12bolt.com has a new design L6 motor mount set that fits stock GM V8 style rubber pads. A set for the 250 runs $100.
