Exterior door handle spring - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Anyone have any tricks on how to keep the plate that holds the exterior door handle spring (the button that opens the door from the outside) on 71/72 trucks in place when the tabs are all broken off?
