Diesel Emblems

Hey all,

I am rebuilding a 1978 that originally had a diesel in it, but no motor when I bought it and I am not putting a diesel back in it.

I don't know how many diesel trucks were made in this era and if they are collectible or not.

My question is, are these emblems worth keeping/selling? There is the one on the grill that says Diesel in the lower right corner and then one on each fender that says the same. Also, how do I remove these safely? The fenders themselves are rusted and one is dented.

Thank you for your help!

I can try to upload pics if anyone is interested.

Re: Diesel Emblems

I would say if they were really nice they would be worth decent money. There should have been one on the tailgate too. Pictures would help.

Re: Diesel Emblems

People collect emblems, so they're worth something.

I bought the truck without a bed so I don't have the tailgate emblem unfortunately. I will post a couple pictures later today of the ones I have.

I haven't had time to research the price on these and I'm not looking to make the rent payment with it LOL

PM me an offer and we will work it out.

Re: Diesel Emblems

Just FYI for anyone else looking for the 5.7 diesel emblems, I have a quite a few fender emblems, grill emblems and tailgate emblems. All in various condition. I have one NOS GMC diesel emblem. The difference between the GMC and Chevy was that GMC had squared edges and Chevy had round.

Not trying to hijack the thread, just FYI for future viewers.
