04 Silverado cruise control addition (easy)
I've got an 04 2500 without cruise. The wiper switch went out and since it's the same conntrol assembly, I wanted to add cruise. After getting vague input on the web about how to convert to cruise at the same time, I just ordered a new multi switch with cruise. This is plug and play as my truck already had the connector installed at the factory, (very dusty, but it is there). I hooked it up and finally have wipers again. As a bonus, the cruise works and even has the light on the cluster like my 07 classic. Could not get much simpler than that.

I am hoping that it will be just as easy for my 2004.5 Duramax. I have to have cruise.

Base W/T harnesses are reportedly different.
This could be "one of those things." |

My 05 Duramax WT did not have the pigtail to allow me to add cruise.

My 03 is a plain Jane truck with the 4.3,auto and with no windows,locks or cruise so I wonder if GM classified a plain truck like mine as a W/T only without the decals since the work trucks so far don't have the extra plug. Kent. |

There were "packages" available on the W/T that would add cruise, PW, PL, etc.
Adding to a "base" W/T is reportedly difficult. The newer trucks didn't get a sticker/badge labelling them "W/T" |
