Tail-light hidden fuel filler

Anybody have any tips/tricks on doing the modification to relocate the filler cap behind the tail-light? I bought a blazer tank for my truck and am ready to start fabing up the fuel filler line.

Thanks

Re: Tail-light hidden fuel filler

Have you tried searching? I know that I've seen threads on both behind the tail light and behind the rear side marker light.

If you are close to Gadsden I have this set up for a reference if you want to come by and look at it. I will be down there at the end of the month. Its mocked up in a scrap rear bedside. I bought it from Hugger CST to put in my truck.

Thanks man,

Unfortunately, I'm all the way down in Dothan. I'm curious as to how you mocked up the cam-spring setup though. Do you have any pics of that?

Re: Tail-light hidden fuel filler

This thread has a few more pics, but it's just a throttle spring that's mounted at a downward angle so that it holds the light open, but when closed, it cams over and holds it closed. Somewhere I've got a better pic of that spring, if I can find it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ghlight=filler
