My burb at Showfest

Drove it 90 miles in the rain w/ no hood, no rear tubs, and no rear floor. It was like a monsoon inside the truck. But I didn't care once I got to the motel and everyone went crazy over the ole rustbucket.

I figured I should update my pics as I have 2 more burbs from the last time I put a pic in this thread...

The med. olive 71' C10 is the first one I got. The Yellow/White 72' C10 I got off of boardmember Cheesewagon a short time ago. This is my daily driver The orange 72' C20 is the parts truck I picked up. It is a factory 402/T400, f&r A/C, AM/FM, ect.... This is my donor truck to put the 454 into my 71(which will be done this spring!) I may take the C20 chassis and convert it to 4wd and get it ready for another body.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

Does anyone recognize this suburban. I'm ready to have mine painted and like these colors. It looks lighter than hugger orange.

Yes, it used to belong to a forum member here. He's from North Carolina, but I'm embarrassed to say I'm drawing a blank on his name.

Yep, it was mine. And I miss her terribly. But the economy sucked and I had bills to pay.
The paint was a single stage Nason's acrylic enamel. It was a little lighter than hugger. I can't remember the code, but I have it somewhere. If I can locate it, I'll update ya.

Nope no photoshop here. Thanks. Progress is slow. Low budget and NO time. Plus the only tools I have are a pair of vice grips and a flat head screwdriver, well not really but it feels that slow.

b=b, with the front fender trimming, the 35" tires almost make the 4" lift seem an inch too high. Is the only fender trimming in front of the front tires? IOW, a truncated cup.

b=b I see you got your H2 Wheels on there. They look nice. I liked mine but put my truck back to stock height and my new burb is a 1/2 ton. I may lift the burb still I don't know.

hey guys,

I did zero trimming, I don't know why the fronts are short. Anybody have any ideas why? I plan on building a wrap around winch bumper. This was a 1/2 ton. I put axles from a '78 camper special under there, no probs.

Probably they were rusted out,it is very common to rust in the front corner.Someone trimmed them off.

Re: Let's see some Burbans!

bwahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just got 'er awhile back. She runs, but needs tranny linkage, brake work, driver side hub fixed, and some good tires. It currently has 8.75-16.5 highway tires on 16.5x8.25 steel wheels. I'm gonna put some 16.5x9.75's on it with some old school 12-16.5 mudgrips or some 36" Goodyear Military tires. Since i've had it i've cleaned it out, re-installed the factory radio, dash, glovebox lid, and seat. I have another auto column in it with a steering wheel also.

I've always liked this burb too, Frizzle. 68plus, didn't you have a build thread on here at one time?
