Which compressor is best one?

I'm getting ready to purchase two new compressors for my air susprension. I've narrowed it down to the dual 444C or 480C. The specs on them both are pretty much the same. Just wondering if anyone can let me know whats different between the two? I know that the 444C is cheaper but don't know if that makes the 480C better.

Thanks

Re: Which compressor is best one?

The 444's and 480's are the same compressor and do have the same performance. The 480 does have the different head design, but has no effect on performance. Let me know, and be glad you get you setup. The 444's also come in all black now.

Re: Which compressor is best one?

can you use a Viair 480 and a Viair 444 together, to fill your air ride tank with air? I currently own (1) Viair 480. I think the 480 leader hose that fills the tank with air, has a larger diameter than leader hose for the Viair 444. I know, I know, im being cheap. the question is, will it work without ill effects?

Re: Which compressor is best one?

Having different compressors is no problem at all. The only difference between the 444 and 480, is the looks. You can run a 380 and 444 together, it is all air being pushed in that tank. Only suggestion, is to have the compressors feed into the tank on separate ports. If you were to "Y" them into a single port, it will slow performance, as they wil fight each other a little at the "Y".
