Question Too much play in steering

Howdy,
I've recently started getting more and more play in my steering wheel and am not sure what's up or what to do about it. I have an '87 gmc burb 350 with power steering.

Have the front end checkout. Any of the parts of the steering components could be bad.
Does the slack feel in the column or the steering components down below?

Feels like it's under the hood. The column feels fine, but the play seems to be in the linkage.
