Re: New member with a 1960

It has 3 layers of dynamat, and one layer of a product from DEI inside , 2 layers of the DEI product underneath , the cab is so air tight the doors don't close unless a window is open. When the interior is finished I am going to have that new 3M film put on the windows to block the UV, that cab really heats up from the sun!

what thickness of dynamat did you use and it looks like there is a different product on the front half of the cab. What is that? Is the DEI product a spray on product?

The front half of the cab in covered in the DEI product, it is a heat shield that is self adhesive, the underneath of the cab is also lined in that same product, that pic is a bit outdated, the entire cab is lined in the heat shield now, with 3 layers of sound deadener and a top layer of the stick foam....I was incorrect when I said dynamat, here is a link to what we used.....http://www.raamaudio.com/package-1-2...-41-625-sq-ft/
I really like it, good quality, and seems to work well!

No sir, its all being custom installed, the speaker box will end up looking like an old piece of luggage! I'm glad the 500's worked, I like their hinges but their customer service is pretty rude. We used the same hood liner also! it really cleans it up!

That's really nice, those carpet kits don't look so good, I think I will have the lady that did my seat do it

These look great!!! What's the process of opening and closing the windows, though? Electric instead of a crank?
