2011 Camaro v6 motor?

I always keep an eye on the local insurance auctions. Got excited when I saw a 2011 Camaro then noticed it was a v6. So I checked the specs and it’s over 300hp. If a guy got this car cheap would the drivetrain make a good donor for a swap into something?

Yes, a 2011 Camaro. Lol

I don’t know Moe, most people want that v8 sound on here if they are pulling their old V6.

Re: 2011 Camaro v6 motor?

I thought it might be an option for someone doing a restomod hot rod with limited space in the engine compartment. In the past I've seen a few guys in this situation use older carbed v6 engines. I agree about the sound of a v8 though. I just wonder what kind of challenges someone might encounter like no aftermarket support.

With overhead camshafts, these v6 engines are taller and wider than the LS v8 engines.

Those v6 engines have timing chain issues too.
