New to me 2007 Chevy Silverado

I have been looking for a truck to update a little bit. I bought a 2007 Chevy Silverado. It has the 4.3 V6 automatic with only 29,600 miles (it was a lease truck that fell thru the cracks), manual windows and door locks. As my wife says it's just a truck. Future plans include upgraded wheels and tires and window tint to start then just drive it.

Thanks. Thinking about 20 inch Texas Edition Chevy wheels and maybe the shackle kit to lower the rear a little bit.

Re: New to me 2007 Chevy Silverado

I have this exact truck! It was my uncle's that I got it when he died with 25k miles on it. I did the rear shackle drop to level it out & put a set of factory alum wheels w a slight bit fatter tires all around. Tinted the windows & a better stereo system in it. I makes a great little daily driver & now has 130k on it. Mechanically all that has had to be done is a battery, idler tensioner pulley & u-joints. The gas mileage is not great & it lacks power, but still love my little buzzin half dozen.

Very nice truck fun in dirt. I have been wondering what it would look like with the shackle drop. I actually have that picture of your truck in a folder on my pc for ideas.

My first upgrade. I was able to find a great deal on 18 inch wheels and tires. Next up maybe the lowered rear shackle kit and tint.

Re: New to me 2007 Chevy Silverado

Not a very good picture but I finally tinted my windows. Anyone have any ideas about a lowering kit? Maybe 2/4?? Thought about the lowering shackles in the rear. Thanks.
