The white rallyes look good. When I bought my '90 blazer the first thing I did was get a set of rallyes powder coated gloss black, privacy tint, and powder coat the Ventshades. I stripped the silver paint on the flange of the center cap. Tires were also 32/11.50-15s

I don't remember seeing much of that one. What's the story on it? I've always wanted blazer of that vintage just never came along the right one. They seem like such nice drivers.

Re: Steel Wheeled 4x4's??

I never took too many pictures of that one. I bought that new in '90 when my wife graduated nursing school. It was my wife's car, our family vehicle. It drove really nicely. It must have been ordered. The story was it was owned for 1,400 miles but financing didn't go through. we bought it as new with new car warranty. It was a Silverado but vinyl seats and roll-up windows. 350/4spd with manual hubs. The paint and options stood out to me. I owned that thing 18 years. I put Extend-A-Fenders on with 10" Turbines & 33/12.50 BFGs, dual exhaust, raised the front 1-2", stereo, and an Auburn posi. I had ordered a soft top from STS. It never came, the company went belly up, and I lost my money. I got disgusted and sold it in '08

Re: Steel Wheeled 4x4's??

Started with 15x8 Rally wheels with 32x11.50 Cooper Discoverer AT3’s. Switched to white steelies after I found some. I’m partial to the white steelies.

I have similar stories where I may have been borderline ready to sell a vehicle but then one thing (such as your top not getting delivered) is all it takes to finalize the decision to sell.

Those white steelies make that roof and tailgate lettering pop. Beautiful truck you've got there!

That was it. I had a plan for the Blazer's next phase of life that included the black soft top. I didn't want it with the hard top any more. Softopper came right out, or maybe they already were. Not only did I not want to spend on yet a second top, but Softopper's price was a few hundred dollars more. So, disgusted I sell it off, then not 3 years later I'm buying an '85 Jimmy. Drove it a few miles home and it didn't leave the driveway until it looked like this. Just imagine the red and black Blazer this way. I really did like the Doeskin paint with Buckskin interior and saddle top, though.
