Won't start after test drive...

Been working on my 49 with a 216, new disc brakes, lines, fuel system, rebuilt carb. Was running great in the garage, towed it to an empty parking lot today to test the brakes and drive it for the first time in 20yrs and ran good, brakes seemed to be dragging, turned it off to pop the hood and make sure all was good, then it wouldn't start. Tried starting fluid in it and no luck had to tow it back home... I figure I'm getting no spark, but any ideas before I replace the coil, points, rotor and distributor?

yes, check the dwell, if no gauge, check the point gap.

see if the two small wires are still connected to the coil.

see if one of those is still connected to the distributor.

check if it has any gas in the tank.
