Re: Double D

Finally getting back to working on this thing again. I got the heater stuff in and today I managed to get the cab and clip primed. It's not perfect but it's just a DD. I'm going to try to get the bed primed this week, then just a few details and she should be road worthy!

Re: Double D

If I had not seen the progress I would had thought you purchased a new hood and fenders. Looking great for just a DD

Re: Double D

Working on it. Been working on the mangled left rear fender. It needs as much work as the whole rest of the truck lol

Re: Double D

Hey Mike,

I never think about checking the builds board. Here I thought you had probably been loafing all winter. Man was I wrong..... That DD is looking great. Keep up the good work.

We will have to get together next time I'm down that way.

Re: Double D

Digging this one out of the vault...again I got the right fender that has been sitting primered in the corner for a couple months bolted back on. Still haven't worked up the courage to finish the left fender Hopefully I'll get to spend a little time on it this weekend.

Re: Double D

Got the other fender cleaned up a bit and epoxied. It's not perfect but it looks OK.

Also got all of the lights and electrical sorted out.

Re: Double D

Today I picked up the tags and registration. The steps and tailgate are epoxied and waiting at home. Hopefully I'll get a shakedown run in tonight and it will make it's maiden voyage to work in the morning!
Lets see if this Youtube vid. works

Re: Double D

Truck looks and sounds killa, what do you have for mufflers on that thing, or did i miss that in the thread, sorry if i did. great stance, just all around bad *ss. I am jealous of the rims though, those are the ones i wanted for my truck when i was 17, never could muster up the cash back them, looks great and good job!

Re: Double D

Thanks everyone! The mufflers are Spintechs, it had long headers with 2.5" pipes and 3" dumps.

Re: Double D

I like it, it has turned into a good looking truck, I was actually up your way a couple of weeks back, spent some time working on my new 3500hd at a friends place.

Wish I had thought about it, I could have swung by and checked your truck out.
