Question 2.5 4Cyl. Swap To 2.8 6Cyl. Swap??

OK guys. Can this happen with a simple bolt up? What will have to be done to complete this swap? I think both engines are 1989 models. The truck is an 89 S10 with a manual tranny. Thanks for the help guys.

Have you thought about going 4.3 ? The 2.8 is kind of a dog?

aslong as you have the motor mounts the 2.8L will bolt up to your 2.5 tranny. If there both TBI you should be able to use most of the wiring harness from the 2.5, but swap in a 2.8 computer.
