Re: 1976 chevy short box

Function. I assume since this is on Pirate you plan to take it off road? The corners stick out a mile. They are going to hit everything, and if you go through a trench the bed is gonna snag. Gonna sound cheesy, but I've seen it a million times. I'd at least 45* the back corners.

Re: 1976 chevy short box

I can 100% assure you that if you didn't bevel that crack and drill the ends of it before you welded it, it WILL crack again even with those tires and street use. To fix that area correctly you need to use a weld in frame brace and the bolt in ones from ORD. http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/steeringkit.htm If you don't you are asking for trouble. If that thing is going to be a mall crawler why the logger box?

Good work man! Do whatever it is that you want to it. It's your truck. The box looks great.

Re: 1976 chevy short box

Looking good, man. I really like the square headlights on these models. Did you rattle can it or did you use a paint gun? I personally liked it blue but it should look really nice when you put all the trim back on.

nice! The trim really sets it off. I think these trucks look great with the trim.
