Whatever it is,it isn't a 2spd case...no Low.So,it's not a truck. I refer to that system as all wheel drive, like what's in cars and light SUVs.

Where did you find that pic? I'll say Ford as well only because I saw one listed on ebay recently for sale and it was listed for a Ford 67-72 truck.

I'm thinking Ford also. A friend of mine once had a full size half-ton 4x4 Ford with a single-speed t-case and manual trans with granny low gear.

I know that both International Harvesters and Fords could be had with a single-speed transfer case. Not sure about Dodge.

Not a Furd guy, but I believe that shift knob is for a Dana 21 transfer case. simple 1:1 part time case.

Wow,I learned something here. I never knew Ford and even International made wimpy 4wds. Seriously,in the "real 4wd" world you ain't nuthin unless you got low transfer.

Maybe, but I would venture that 90% of the 4WD trucks on the road never get shifted into low range by their original owner.

I hear you, Tim -- but the guy I mentioned above (early-seventies Ford 4x4, single-speed t-case and granny-low trans) was able to put his truck through some pretty tough real-world situations. Never could have done it without that crawler low gear, though....
