How do i find Fathers old suburban
My father passed away in 2001. He had a 1970-1971 Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton. I was a goofy kid and had no interest in it then, but now I would love to track it down and restore (if not already crushed). I do not have the VIN and I am running out into dead ends on how to find it. HELP. Is it possible to look up vehicles by passed owners name?

any paper work on the vehicle would help ( like at who he had sold it to ... )
a photo graphic of it w/ the tag(s) on it ... are some of the way(s) it can be tracked

Call the registry , or go there, and tell them you would like to have the information on the vehicle registered to your father in 2000. At least that will give you good information to start with. If the person seems friendly, ask them if they have a record of who the title was transferred to. Transfer of assets is public information, I suspect.

If your family still has insurance with the same insurance company he used back then, you can ask them for the VIN on the Suburban if they still have it in their records. Good luck.
