That is one nice Blazer, but I have to agree with LUV that Buy it Now price is way too high.

It has a lot of nice touches such as the original radio with a modern radio hidden, hidden tow hitch, power windows, ect., but having no AC is going to hurt it's bid price. I'll say a max bid of 14k.

Not knowing much about gearing what do you guys think of the 3.42 gears setup with this power train?

My 2004 Silverado 1500 Crew-cab has 3.42 rear gears and the 4L60E trans (same thing as the 700-R4, but electronic), it's a good setup for cruising, but if you want to occasionally do some towing with it, you would definately want that big block torque that he has in it.

That is a nice Blazer. It has been on ebay before and didn't meet the reserve. It has a lot of nice details. If it had AC, I'd say it is definately worth the $19K price, but without it, it is a tough sale. If I had and extra $20K laying around, I'd consider buying it.

I'm actually thinking about purchasing it. I need your advice...some say it's too high and some say it's a good price. There's 2 days left to bid...can you folks give me an idea if this is trully worth it??? I want a blazer that's pretty much turn key and based on what I've seen and read from his bid...it seems like a good deal. Yes...no???

If I had the money, I would go for it... Of course I always try to haggle over the price, just to make myself feel like I got a deal. As far as the A/C goes, you can always add an aftermarket setup, if you even need/want it. I know my Vintage Air system is much colder than an OEM unit.

My vintage air setup was around $1400, with the factory A/C controls and a few other little things, I don't know about the cost of an install, because I won't pay somebody to do something that I can cuss at all day by myself!

Is that black Blazer on ebay too?

I would say that $20k is pretty close to what a complete frame off with most parts being new would cost. So if you wanted to build one that clean, it would take you $15k-20k. I am getting close to completing my truck, and it is at $15k, and I need to spend about $2k more.

I know that the next truck I do will be much cheaper being that I have learned a lot from the first one, and will not make the same mistakes, and have a lot of new connections for finding parts (without paying ebay prices).

I do agree that for $20k, it should have A/C.

Anybody know where I find a steering wheel like the one on the blazer?

That blue 2wd is one of the cleanest 2wd Blazers I've ever seen. My guess is that if he is asking $19.5K, his reserve is probably lower than that. If you are seriously considering it. There are board members in the area that my go take a look at it for you. Also, ask for pictures of everything, find out as much history as possible and if the seller doesn't follow through, I'd bail out assuming he his hiding something.

If you do get it, you need to give all of us a ride!

From what I can see you would be hard pressed to build one like it for the money. I like the 700 trany with the gears for road driving but would also like to get a look under the car. If its as nice as the rest of the car I give it a thumbs up.

If you'll notice right above the price it states "The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale."

Either:
1. He backed out,
2. Sold it off Ebay (so as to keep from paying Ebay's fee's) or
3. Decided not to sell it.

I'd guess it's the middle reason.
