Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

"Ran when parked" so why did you park it? So it could deteriorate into of this pile of crap you have now. Was it a scientific experiment to see how long it would take it to turn back into dust?

Seller: "It ran when parked"

Me: "Shoulda sold it then"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, "All it needs is a tune-up" (once you fix the issue). "All the tires need is air" (after the new ones are mounted). "Brakes need bled" (once all cylinders and calipers are replaced).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I looked at a '69 CST a couple weeks ago. The guy never mentioned until I got there, he put it in gear and it didn't move. He said he thinks the c-clips weren't installed in the rear and there's no fluid. Is that the same as "locked up"?
He had said it was a 4spd, which is one thing that got my interest. It was a low hump and the steering column had the 3spd collar with shifter removed/floor shifter up through floor in second hole cut. I said, "So is it a car 4spd?" and he said "I dunno". I started the truck, pulled the shifter back into first (It was a 3spd you know) and there it stayed. No need to crawl under. It was a cheap truck, but man that guy had a load of crap with him.

What bugs me is you can offend someone or say what ever you like just as long as you follow it up with LOL. It wasn’t funny and we all know you meant it dumb ass.
Or follow it up with just kidding. Lol no you weren’t
Also just saying drives me nuts.

Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

It ran when parked. Just wouldn't run when driven.

I have a funny story about a friend's '78 Cherokee Chief like that.

Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

"They sell those online" or "I bought it online" used to answer where that person found an item. What does that tell me? That's like telling me "I bought it at the store". Really? No chit! What store ya smartass? Who are 'they' and where 'online'? It's a pretty big place.
