Wiring harness

Heys guys I have a question on wiring harness's. I have a 57 with a 55 Belair dash. It has A/C, power windows, EFI, electric fuel pump, dual electric fans. Trying to figure out what harness is the best for my application? Could I go with an updated 55-59 truck harness? If so how would that work with the 55 car dash? Or do I need to go with a universal harness? Thanks!

I have a 55 TF and I bought the American auto wire for it. Great kit really liked it. But like you I have an EFI, fans, A/C, Dakota Dash, and other new items. They do their best to accommodate the new stuff with some additional circuits which is nice. But in the end you have to go, yes I need that, no I don’t need that. There is enough in the package to do the job and they use a good quality wire which is labeled and well color coded. They give you dash wiring for original and for independent gauge type system. Only thing I was surprised at was the high beam switch wasn’t of the original style (theirs was inside cab) and I wanted that look so I had go get from LMC the original switch. I bought the kit from them on recommendation from a buddy who used their kit on his 67 Camaro and really liked it. Their crimper tool (which he loaned me) is really nice to have.

I have a '56 TF and also went American Auto Wire, I called them about the high beam switch and they sent me the correct one! Great harness with lots of labeled wire for the modern conveniences!

For way less than half the price you can go with a universal kit such as
EZ Wiring 21 Standard Wiring Harness $185

Its more than you will probably ever need.

This is what I used, good quality, right gauge wire, labeled, etc.
