12 bolt rear in a 88 truck

Will a 12 bolt rear out of a 78 K10 Blazer bolt into a 88 truck?

A guy wants to buy my 12 bolt to put into his 88 but only if it bolts right in. I told him it should but the width may be different.
Am I right?

Thanks

Re: 12 bolt rear in a 88 truck

I ordered new axles from Yukon a couple of years ago. They sent square body axles which definitely don't work on an '89 K truck. Wheels hubs are a different size also. I would bet on a NO fit.

Width is different. Not sure on the axle to leaf spring mounting pad spacing.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
