Mounts for 327 installation in '78 C10

Hello folks. I'm building a 1965, 327 block to install in my 1978 C10 shortbed. Will the stock motor mounts match up to the '78 frame mounts?

Any info will be appreciated.

Use the clamshells that came off of the truck, no problem.

Hi there, are you using the original 1965 heads? I ran into trouble installing a 1965 283 into my 76 years ago. I installed 350 engine mounts, that was no problem. I did run into problems with the 283 heads did not having the "tapped" holes in the heads to mount my alternator. Also had trouble mounting the P/S pump. The 327 may have the tapped holes, I can't recall.

Hi Barry. Yes, that's going to be an issue. No holes in these heads either. The P/S pump mounts to the driver's side motor mount holes, but A/C and alternator will require after-market brackets that use other fastening points.

Easy to cure with a couple bucks. Look here for conversion brackets.
