Best stock height shock for wheeling

Title says it all, due to living in a apartment with a underground i cant lift the truck so whats the best shock for off road use with a stock height truck. Truck is a daily driver but will see off road use almost every weekend in the summer so im more focused on a good off road shock than on road.

Will not be used for hauling any weight either so thats not a consideration.

Re: Best stock height shock for wheeling

no way at all. With stock height tires ans suspension i clear my undergound entrance by less than 1", about a two finger gap.

When i move into a house in a few years i plan to jack it up and go to 40" or 44" tires and then buy a car for commuting but for now the truck has to stay stock height and be the daily driver.

I've herd the bilstien HD shocks are good anyone running them?

Ya, Bilstiens but you gotta get the silver ones not the yellow. I forget the part numbers I think 5100 or 5150 errr??
For stock size shock that is gonna work best. Most of the highend offroad shocks are too long for stock applications...

thanks, yeah that would be the 5100 series, the yellow ones are the HD series i asked about. I will price out some 5100's and see if they fit the budget.

Anything is pretty much better than stock shocks (usually).

Bilstein 5100 are good, Rancho 5000 are about a hundred less a set, Procomp ES3000 are about the same as Rancho 5000 but about 60 cheaper.
