Post what spark plugs

I hated to ask again but I searched the best I could looking I have seen this posted before. Next time I will print it I have a 327 with HEI what plugs should I run?

1968 Custom Chevy with turbo charged 5.3 gen III 4l80e swap
1967-71 GMC 3/4 ton long step 4x4 (not sure what year exactly?)

I think you would go with stock plugs gapped at .045

go with what the manual says for HEI .060" gap this will give you the most powerful spark for HEI. .045 and .035 are old fashioned for points. Use AC R45TS plugs, they have given me the best longevity and response in my 350. I like to stick with GM parts since they did come from the factory like that and were tuned for those parts. Just my $.02.

I second the AC plugs, R45 with a .045" gap and you should be stylin'

The question I have is. NAPA sold me AC R44T, and the Chevy Service Manual recomends the AC R44TS. Found out that the "T" is a little shorter, and the "TS" longer (closer to the piston). What do you guys think / recomend? Darren

It probably wont make that big of a difference. Only real way to tell on your motor would be to try both. Spark plugs are so cheap it doesnt really matter. But, are you running rich at all? If you are you might want to think about stepping up to R45's... they're a little "hotter" than R44's and I'm pretty sure that the 45's are the OE plug for HEI ignitions.

Great Thanks guys I guess the difference in the plugs from stock to HEI is just the gap. I will get new ones and open the gap up some!
